Here is a summary of what Glenn Beck (The Blaze) had to say about the “Great Reset of Energy.” In April Pres. Biden promised to reduce US Greenhouse gas pollution by 50% by 2030. To obtain that goal, roughly half of the US’s electricity would have to be solar, wind, etc. China dominates the production of solar panels; because it uses forced (free) labor. A report coming from a university in the UK, states that 2.6 million Uyghurs in XinJiang are being forced to work (slave labor) in solar power related factories by the Chinese government. Many indigenous workers are unable to refuse or walk away from these jobs, and thus the programmers are tantamount to forcible transfer of population and enslavement.” The report identified at least 135 re-education camps that are located near these solar factories.
The UK report goes on to say, “From a human rights and climate perspective, the alternative of basing our green energy future on coal’s high carbon emissions and on the forced labour of oppressed communities is a higher and longer-term price to pay.”
Of the top 10 solar panel and component companies, 8 are Chinese owned and only one is a US company. Only one percent of the solar panels in the US are made in the US. China manufactures most of the components needed to make solar panels. China produces 80% of one of the solar panel component called polysilicon and 98% of two other key components, wafers and ingots. A huge amount of electricity is needed to make polysilicon and China’s electricity in this area is made by burning coal. Certain areas in China have the highest air pollution in the world and we are contributing to that pollution by buying Chinese solar panels and components.
Moving on to wind power – Seven out of the top 10 wind turbine manufacturers are Chinese and half of the wind turbines installed last year was manufactured in China in the XinJiang area. The number two wind turbine manufacturer, Xinjiang Goldwind Science and Technology, is Chinese owned and participates in the Uyghur forced labor. Apple and Goldwind have four wind farm joint ventures.
Biden Kerry claim that if the US shifts over to wind and solar power all those workers in the coal and petroleum companies will find good union paying jobs with the green energy companies. Did this come true for the workers who were working on the Keystone Pipeline? Last month a SD wind turbine company, MFG, closed and laid off 300 employees. MFG stated in a news release that the closure will happen because of “changing market conditions, foreign competition, and proposed revisions to tax policies affecting the wind energy industry in the US.”
The UK is committed to obtaining net zero carbon emissions by 2050. 25 million homes in UK have/will need to replace gas boilers (heat homes and water) with much larger electric heat pumps. New heat pumps cost about $14,000. Since the UK has implemented more wind and solar power policies, electricity prices in the UK have doubled.
At the C7 conference, Biden and the other countries announced a plan to phase out gasoline cars. Biden’s infrastructure proposal earmarks $174 billion investment for the electric vehicles subsidies. Because of the high cost of electric vehicles, it will only be the rich that these subsidies will help. US fossil-fuel vehicles account for about 2.4% of the global greenhouse emissions. So what good are electric cars if 79% of the electricity in the US is created from fossil-fuel? Electric vehicles go almost 200 miles on a fully charged battery. It recharges at about 4 miles per hour plugged into a 120 socket. Tesla has a super charger. So for every 200 miles in a Tesla, one would have to stop and charge the battery for an hour at a super charge station. No more car vacation trips that aren’t close to home.
A 2014 study published in the National Academy of Sciences compared emissions of the entire life cycle of electric care emissions (starting with the mining of the metals) to that of gas-powered vehicles. They found that the vehicles that are charged with coal-powered electricity are responsible for more emissions than the gas-powered vehicles.
So for every wind turbine, solar components and solar panels purchased in the US, China financially benefits, causes more CO2 pollution in China and indirectly is promoting slave labor in China. Electric cars sound good but what if you are stuck in a 3-hour traffic jam? How can we keep up with the demand for electricity if all the cars are replaced with electric ones? Look at California with their current electrical outages; how can their system support more electric cars?
