There is a movement to protect our 2nd Amendment rights here in Wisconsin, that 17 counties have already adopted. This supports the sheriff and law enforcement, but this movement was not started by them.

It is a grassroots national movement started by “We the People”, law abiding citizens who are concerned about our 2nd Amendment rights that are given to us under the Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution. As citizens of a free country we are given the right to address those concerns to the people who are elected to represent us and who have taken an oath to protect the Constitution of the United States, and of Article 1, Section 25 of the Constitution of the State of Wisconsin.

“We the People” have put those concerns into a 2nd Amendment Protection Resolution. It is a statement meant to send a documented message to those elected representatives to say that we support the 2nd Amendment and oppose any unconstitutional infringement upon our 2nd Amendment rights. It is our right and our duty to do so.

The right of the people to keep and bear arms is guaranteed as an individual right under the 2nd Amendment to the United States Constitution which reads: “A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” And the constitution of the State of Wisconsin Article 1, Section 25 reads “The people have the right to keep and bear arms for security, defense, hunting, recreation or any other lawful purpose.”

If this is important to you, please talk to your neighbors and friends and find out when your Township or Village board is meeting to consider this resolution and please attend.

Thank you for your support.
