The surge of illegal immigrants at the border is creating a horrible, humanitarian crisis. Biden’s comments, along with his Executive Orders have given immigrants an incentive to come to the US which is now causing a flood of immigrants. His policies should be immediately reversed and the US should continue to build the wall. All Senators and Representative, no matter which party, should pass bills that DISCOURAGE ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION and fund the wall. This is a crisis and there is nothing humanitarian about the horrible conditions at the border. With Covid we should NOT be letting people come into this country this way.
Mexico’s Covid epidemic is much more severe than here in the US. In fact, it is so bad that about 2 weeks ago, Argentina suspended all flights from Mexico. Depending on who is doing the estimating; between 10 to 25% of the illegals have Covid when they enter our country.
From counting illegals on border surveillance cameras, Sheriff Mark Dannels of Cochise County, Arizona concluded that the Federal government is picking up only about 28% of the actual flow of illegals that are crossing the border. In March, border agents claim that over 171,000 migrants were picked up along the border. If agents are only picking up 28%, then over 210,000 illegals is more a more accurate number – in one month.
Illegals are being housed shoulder to shoulder in the immigrant holding shelters. Just think of how fast the Covid will spread through the immigrant population under these conditions. Then in a couple of days they are turned loose into the US communities; with most of the illegals not being tested for Covid or quarantined if they have Covid. Just think how fast the Covid will spread through the US as these immigrants are turned loose.
Redirecting the border law enforcement resources and finances to caring for the enormous number of illegals, the border patrol is NOT focusing on drugs, illegal guns, human trafficking, terrorists or gang members. Areas where the border wall was halted, good roads were created first. So now in some areas where there is no wall, there are good roads that make for an easy path for illegals and drug and human traffickers.
Another thing that makes the illegal immigration horrible is the high rate of rape and abuse of children, teenagers and women. At least 1/3 of the girls and women are raped. There are videos of children being dropped over the 14 foot fence and abandoned. One video was of two children that were 3 and 5 years old. “Coyotes” abandon any illegal, along the trail that get sick or is severely dehydrated. What happens to these individuals when the border patrol is redirected to care for the huge number of illegals in the holding shelters so that the border patrol is not out on patrol?
The surge in illegals is a tactic the drug and human traffickers are using to the fullest. They charge each immigrant about $6,000 per person for a “safe” trip across Mexico and/or Central America. The further away the home country is, the more they charge him/her. The Crime Cartels are making millions from this “tax.” Then add to this, the profit they make from drug and human trafficking, they are making billions. Besides this, it creates an easy access for any terrorist that would want to enter our country. Money is power. That is one reason the Mexican government is finding it hard to apprehend anybody that works for the cartels.
There are many reasons to continue building the wall but along with this, our government must make it clear that the US does not want these untested illegals coming across the border. Our Senators and Representative should be working to correct this situation and to help Biden and his administration to see that the lenient stance about border illegal immigration is very harmful to our country, for many reasons. Please write to your legislators to makes it clear that immigrants should only be allowed into the US if they come in legally with proper health papers.
