To whom it may concern!
I am paying the above citation under protest. I was giving blood at the Glenwood City High School and did not notice the designated parking space. I am 93 and have trouble walking. It was open and I was grateful, I parked.
I did not notice the ticket on my car and had no knowledge of it until I got your letter dated March 12th.
When I spoke to the officer he showed no empathy for my situation. I asked if they ever gave warnings and he said, “never”.
He showed no respect, which made me angry. Officer Darwin could use some education in people skills.
I admit I made a mistake parking in that spot, but officer Darwin’s treatment of me upset me, and made me wonder, does he treat all senior citizens in this manner, or all citizens?
