FALL CREEK — Led by a seventh place finish by Ben Holzwarth, the Elk Mound boys cross country team finished fifth in the team standings in a field of 11 with 78 individuals competing. The girls team placed eighth as Emma Hayes placed 14th, competing against 65 individuals and 10 total teams.

SPRING VALLEY — After another slow start, the Elk Mound football team turned a 6-0 halftime lead into a 42-7 rout over the Spring Valley Cardinals, bringing their record to 3-0 on the Cardinals home field Sept. 7.
