Elk Mound golfers compete in Mondovi and Colfax

The weather finally cooperated to allow some golf matches to be completed as the Elk Mound team competed in a conference match at Mondovi May 12. The Mounders showed their consistency by placing fifth in the nine hole- six team meet then spent the day May 15 at Whitetail Golf Course, finishing 12th in the 16 team Colfax Invite.

Chandler James was low man for the Mounders at Mondovi with a round of 50 with a par on the seventh hole, while Jonah LaRock shot a 52 for the day. Corey Hagberg and Jameson Rubenzer both finished with a 55 while Mark Dickenson came in with a 58. Three players tied for the individual title with scores of 39.

James and Hagberg both finished with a round of 107 at Whitetail while Dickenson finished with a 118 and both LaRock and Tim Lambele shot scores of 120. Somerset won the team title in a playoff as Will Gauder of Somerset was the individual winner with a 76.
