Zac Doll will play college hoops close to home

After considering a couple of other colleges, Elk Mound basketball standout Zac Doll will take his talents to UW-Stout this fall to play for coach Ed Andrist and the Blue Devils.

Doll was a two time First Team All Conference player and was the Player of the Year for the Dunn St. Croix Conference this season. He went on to earn Division 3 First Team All State honors as well as being a First Team All Northwest player. As the starting point guard for the Mounders the past two years he led the team to back to back conference championships and a berth in the state tournament this year.

“Zac has worked very hard over the past four years to become an outstanding player,” his high school coach Chris Hahn said. “His athleticism and explosiveness will continue to improve as he becomes stronger. He is an excellent leader and has a great feel for the game. Coach Andrist will be getting a player that will improve his team.”

Doll plans on entering the engineering program at Stout and believes their basketball program will be a good fit for him.
