DURAND—Finding a dry field to play on, the Colfax baseball team traveled to Durand to open the season April 26 and showed signs of playing on a field for the first time this season as they were dumped 14-4 in a five inning contest by the Durand Panthers.

Before the snow came flying, the Colfax golf team played a pair of conference matches amid sunny skies and warm temperatures at Glenwood City April 29 and Mondovi April 30, then persevered through windy and cool weather in a 17 team invite held at the Whitetail Golf Course May 1.
