Not one of the Boyceville School Board members has replied to my questions that I sent to them a week ago. I asked if the following questions could be reported each month: How many students and school workers tested positive to Covid in the previous month? How many students were sent home because they were near a positive student? How many of those students who were sent home ended up testing positive or having Covid symptoms? I can’t see any reason why the public couldn’t be given this information as it deals with numbers (no names).
“As reported by WisPolitics.com, the Senate Education Committee held a public hearing on Senate Bill 587 which would allow parents to transfer their K-12 students to different public or private schools due to mask mandates or proof of COVID-19 vaccination requirements. It also would create a way for student-athletes who transferred due to whether they received in-person or virtual instruction to receive a waiver to be eligible to play sports. The author of the Assembly version of the bill, Rep. Barbara Dittrich (R-Oconomowoc), explained that the bill would also allow parents to transfer their children out of schools that do not require masks or vaccination” – can be found on the WisconsinEye Morning Minute website. Parents have concerns about the Critical Race Theory and the Project 1619 (rewriting history) being taught, mandates of masking and vaccinating, allowing transgender girls (boys) into the girls bathroom and lockers, pushing socialistic ideology, etc. Matt Walsh sums up the latest concerns that happened in Loudoun County, “The Loudoun County school board is the subject of national attention and outrage after the school system tried to cover up the alleged rape of a female student inside the girl’s bathroom, during school hours, reportedly by a boy in a dress. Loudoun County wanted to keep the incident out of public view, in part because the district was trying to push through a transgender policy that would officially open girl’s bathrooms to boys.”
For those of you parents who are concerned about the direction that our government funded, public schools are going, there will be three meetings in Dunn County that will cover private, virtual and homeschool options, legal steps to pull your children out of the public school system, list of resources and curriculum, etc. The first one was held at the Grace Baptist Church in Boyceville, last evening. The others will be held in Menomonie and one in the Colfax-Elk Mound area.
