Letter to the editor,
I worked every election for over twenty years and I’m offended that the president trashes the foundation of our democracy because he’s so childish he can’t accept the outcome. There are many checks and balances built into the system. The election workers get regular training and are democrats, republicans, and independents. No one talks about personal politics. We work together. It is a detail oriented job. Busy presidential elections are very stressful. Unfortunately, it is too often a thankless job and now Trump spreads big lies very, very loudly that insult the people dedicated to the task.
No president in history has been so ungracious. His actions in preventing the president-elect from obtaining the presidential daily briefings seriously affect our national security. The silly election lawsuits are craven political theatre; the lawsuits are a dumb reality TV show. And it’s just ugly. I don’t know how any decent person could believe a word Trump says. The election wasn’t a fraud. Donald Trump is a fraud.
