Colfax-Elk Mound freshman Belle Kongshaug continued her winning ways on area courses last week as she topped the leaderboard at a pair of CloverCroix Conference girls’ golf meets.
Kongshaug has won the individual title at all six of this season’s conference meets to date putting her in the driver’s seat for the top golfer award.
Kongshaug’s performances also helped her team lock down a pair of runner-up finishes in Osseo last Monday, September 12 and the following day in Mondovi.
There was also a conference meet scheduled last Thursday in Cadott but results were not received in time to be included in this week’s edition of the Messenger.
Colfax-Elk Mound lady golfers took part in the final regular-season CloverCroix match at Bloomer Monday with the 18-hole conference tournament following yesterday at the Lake Hallie Golf Course. The team will participate in the WIAA Division 2 regional tournament which will be held either September 28 or 29 at Pheasant Hills Golf Course near Hammond.

Mondovi Match
Equaling her score of the previous day, Kongshaug copped yet another first-place conference golf finish after shooting a 38 Tuesday, September 13 on the Valley Golf Course in Mondovi.
