EM Archers compete in Cadott tournament

CADOTT — 14 junior high archers and 18  senior high archers from Elk Mound competed February 20, at the Cadott Bull’s Eye Tournament.

This was their first live shoot in two seasons due to the COVID-19 restrictions.

Each archer shoots three rounds of five arrows at ten meters and three rounds of five arrows at 15 meters to try for a perfect score of 300.

The top five Elk Mound Middle School archers and their scores were: Mallory Wisemiller, 249; Kaelyn Miles, 237; Brayden Borek, 223; Miya White-Franze, 220; and James Solberg, 220.

The top five Elk Mound High School archers and their scores were: Vincent Biegel, 288; Mitchell Ruppelt, 286; Carley Gehrke, 282; Kayla Brantner, 279; and Chance Peters, 275.

A fun shoot included shooting and shattering or cracking a CD elimination. Middle-schooler James Solberg won a target while   high-schooler Vince Biegel also won a target.

Coaches for the teams are:  Wendy Erdman (head coach), Vincent Hall, Dan Christensen, and Shawn Jensen.
