Dressel receives Diesel Technician Scholarship

COLFAX  —  Austin Dressel, a 2017 graduate of Colfax High School, has received a scholarship from the Foundation of the Wisconsin Automobile and Truck Dealers Association to attend the diesel program at Chippewa Valley Technical College.

In addition to the $1,500 scholarship, Dressel will receive a tool set valued at $3,905 from Snap-on Corporation, headquartered in Kenosha.

Recipients can use the scholarship awards to fund their vehicle service education in automotive, diesel, motorcycle or collision technology at a Wisconsin Technical College of their choice that has been certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation.

Foundation scholarship recipients are selected based on three criteria: a completed application, testing, and interviews.

The Foundation of the Wisconsin Automobile and Truck Dealers Association has awarded almost 1,900 scholarships over the last 25 years to encourage and assist young people to pursue a career in the automobile, truck and motorcycle industries in Wisconsin.
