Dear Editor:

In the wake of the most recent school shootings, students are rising up – demanding that something be done. What I DO NOT SEE is students taking responsibility themselves.

As adults – teachers, parents and police – have effectively been stripped of our ability to discipline or provide guidance by establishing rules and regulations effectively we CAN NOT administer corrective punishment.

But! Students DO HAVE the power to NOT BUY games and videos that promote violence and sexual aggression as a way to cope with people who do not conform to their wishes.

Reality check: NO AMOUNT of laws and regulations can stop them from getting guns, abusing guns, abusing sex, abusing each other and breaking the law.

P.S. Hey Democrats, even if the new laws are established, how will you enforce it?
