LTE – Joel Hilson – 12-30-2015

To the Taxpayers, Residents and Employees of the School District of Colfax:

I appreciated the opportunity to serve on the Colfax School Board as an elected school board member since April 2001.

At this time I have decided not to run in the April 5, 2016 election.

The experience that I have had by being on the board has helped me in decisions for the school district, my personal and professional careers. I have had the chance to work with very knowledgeable board members, superintendents, principals, department heads, teachers and staff.

Again, I am grateful that you have allowed me to be your voice for the School District of Colfax.

In giving everyone notice of my intention of not running I hope this will give someone the desire to run for the office. Declaration of candidacy and campaign finance registration forms can be acquired at the School District office and need to be returned to district office by January 5, 2016.
