LTE – Shaleen Culbert – 9-10-2014

The Glenwood City Public Library offered some wonderful programs to our young readers this summer and we would like to thank the businesses who donated money to support our Summer Reading Program (Norm’s Barber Shop and Pete’s Automotive Supply) and all of the local businesses who showed their support by placing our yellow summer reading program booster signs in their windows.

We had some very excited participants at our Story Times and Creative Kids’ programs, listening to wonderful stories and engaging in some hands-on science and building experiments. Our summer finale with Bruce the Bug Guy was a huge success – we had a full house and everyone had great time learning about insects and even holding a tarantula! We are also very proud of our young readers — they engaged in 35,610 minutes or 593 hours of reading during the program!

Thank you to all our program participants and their parents. We hope to see you in the library throughout the school year. Keep reading!
