I am writing today in support of Judy Achterhof for County Board Supervisor in District 17 (Glenwood, Emerald, Forest, Deer Park, Cylon & Glenwood City).
Having lived in St. Croix County since 1978, Judy has lived during the ups and downs of this area, and especially of late, knows of the volatile situations that affect this area and how important it will be to have a strong voice for the rural communities at the County level.
Judy is also an experienced local government official. She has served on the Glenwood City School Board for the past 10 years and also was recently appointed to the Indianhead Federated Library System Board. Judy understands the importance of elections and has served as a poll worker in Emerald for several years. And now, she is willing to run for County Board Supervisor….This is a woman committed to local government!
Should she be elected, she has committed to visiting township meetings to hear concerns and thoughts of our local residents. It is rare in these days to have a public servant who will actually commit to doing the will of their constituents, even if that is not her personal belief…. but Judy has committed to that concept as she has no ideology to adhere to – simply to serve and authentically represent this district to the best of her abilities.
Rural communities need a strong representative in Hudson and a proponent for local control. Please vote for Judy Achterhof for County Board Supervisor on April 1!!
