Letter to the Editor – Skipper Ford – 12-5-12

Fiscal cliff. you have got to be kidding me. To cut the budget by $100,000,000,000 is nothing.

That is not even a good down payment on a yearly deficit in excess of $1,000,000,000,000. Because we have to borrow money each year to keep this country from falling apart, it is obvious we have an artifical standard of living.

Let’s get back to reality and live off of what we produce. It is going to hurt, but that is what our children and grandchildren need. Let’s stop thinking short-term.
