Dear Editor,

Most of you know here in Glenwood City that I recently lost my son in a tragic farm accident. I was the one who found him, so the grief was multiplied, and I was and am still devastated. What gets me through most days is quoting scripture, and excepting the truth of it all.

I want to express to you all how people from all around the community have come to help me. People I didn’t even know have shared their loving kindness to me. I never knew how it would mean until it happened to me. You all have been so, so good to me. It is still hard, but because of all the helping hands and all the love passed out to me using you, God has blessed me. As I seek Jesus Christ more the more peace I receive. So many prayers have brought me through, so I want to express my thanks to all who gave in so many ways. May our Lord Jesus bless you as He has blessed me.

I also wanted to give back to the community so I believe the Lord showed me. So we put together a benefit to help other farm accident victims. So far we have raised over $2,100.00. Hoping in working with the EMT’s to point out where help is needed, so we can all help each other.
