McGrane new officer in Glenwood City — Samuel (Sam) McGrane is the new full time police officer in Glenwood City. His first day on the job was Monday, August 9. Sam lives in Baldwin and graduated from St. Croix Central High School in 2018 and the Chippewa Valley Technical College. He is also a member of the United Fire Department for the last four years. Sam and his significant other, Taylor Moyer, are expecting their first child in February.

TWO PEOPLE were seriously injured when an ATV pulling a trailer was struck from behind by a pick-up truck last Thursday afternoon, August 5 on County Road E near 290th Street in the Town of Springfield. John and Pamela Jarvis of Glenwood City sustained life-threatening injuries when the ATV they were on was hit by a Ram pick-up truck driven by Jessica Hansen of Menomonie.
