By Kelsie Hoitomt The Boyceville boys’ basketball team hosted the St. Croix Central Panthers last Thursday night, February 7 and then they hit the road to Spring Valley Friday night for a game that was cancelled last month due to the weather.

By Kelsie Hoitomt The Lady Bulldogs finished the week with a pair of wins against Spring Valley last Tuesday, February 5 and then last Friday night versus Elmwood.

ELMWOOD – When Spring Valley/Elmwood took a 30-15 lead on Butch Rabitoy’s tight two-point decision over the Bulldogs’ Isaac Wold at 182 pounds in the conference dual finale for both teams last Thursday, it appeared that the Cardinals would, for the third straight year, deny Boyceville the Dunn-St. Croix Wrestling Championship.

By Kelsie Hoitomt BOYCEVILLE — The Lady Bulldogs ended their four-game home stand last Thursday night, Jan. 31 as they hosted the once-beaten Colfax Vikings and lost 43-27.

By Kelsie Hoitomt BOYCEVILLE – The boys’ basketball team hosted the Elmwood Raiders last Friday, February 1 and lost in a high scoring game, 73-53.

By Kelsie Hoitomt BOYCEVILLE – The Lady Bulldogs ended their set of home games last Thursday night as they hosted the undefeated Colfax Vikings and lost 43-27.

By Kelsie Hoitomt BOYCEVILLE – Boyceville senior, Will Kraft, was named an All-State Defensive End after the 2012 football season by the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association. He was recognized in front of his family, friends and coaches at the All-State Banquet on January 27 that was held at the Lambeau Field Atrium in Green Bay.

The coating of ice that the area received early Tuesday morning, January 29 caused the closing of several area schools and the postponement of that evenings’ scheduled extracurricular activities.
