Ice forces cancellation, reschedule of games

The coating of ice that the area received early Tuesday morning, January 29 caused the closing of several area schools and the postponement of that evenings’ scheduled extracurricular activities.

In Glenwood City, the boys’ basketball game that was scheduled for Tuesday night has been moved to Saturday afternoon, February 2 at Plum City High School. The junior varsity game will begin at 3:00 pm with the varsity contest to follow around 4:30 pm.

Glenwood City’s home wrestling dual against Mondovi has been shifted to Thursday night, January 31 at 7 pm.

The Boyceville boys basketball game in Spring Valley has now been moved to Friday, February 8. JV and varsity game times will remain the same.

As of press time Tuesday morning, Boyceville’s wrestling dual in Elmwood with Spring Valley/Elmwood had not been rescheduled. Check the school’s website: www.boyceville.k12.wi.us for the updated scheduling information.
