One dead, three injured in single vehicle crash

MENOMONIE —  One person is dead and three others were injured following a single-vehicle accident this past Saturday morning in Dunn County.

Angela M. Goodman, 38 of Menomonie, was killed when the vehicle in which she was an occupant in crashed in the 5700 block of 510th Avenue in Menomonie Township around 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 24.

Three other people in the vehicle were also injured in the accident according to a news release from the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office. All three were transported to an area hospital with unspecified injuries. The names of the injured were not released by the Sheriff’s Department.

Goodman was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dunn County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Dunn County deputies, the Menomonie Fire Department and a rescue helicopter were dispatched to the scene. The helicopter was later redirected to Mayo Hospital in Menomonie.

Based on the investigation, speed appeared to be a contributing factor in the crash said the Sheriff’s Department release.

The Wisconsin State Patrol also assisted at the accident scene.
