The $8.63 million dollar project of improvements to State Highway 170 from State Highway 128 in Glenwood City through Downing, Boyceville, and Wheeler and to Dunn County Highway D at Norton is well underway.
Work on the handicapped accessible ramps in Glenwood City and Downing are close to being completed and the Tiffany Creek Bridge northwest of Downing work is underway with traffic down to a single lane controlled by traffic lights during the rehabilitation of the bridge.
The reconstruction of the intersection of State Highway 170 and State Highway 79 in Boyceville is expected to begin in early June and will require a 35-day detour for through traffic. The traffic on 170 will be detoured via Highway 128, US Highway 12 and State Highway 79 and on Dunn County Highways F and N.
The schedule for completion of this project is October of this year.
The I-94 highway project near Knapp is in the finishing up stages of substantial improvements in St. Croix and Dunn Counties.
The $57.5 million dollar project removed and replaced concrete pavement, removed and replaced six structures, grading, installing beam guard cable barrier, right-of-way fencing and signage.
Other highway projects including the replacement of the State Highway 83 bridge over Rock Creek in Dunn County. There is work on State Highway 35 in Hudson, and highway improvements on highway 46 in Amery requiring a detour on Highways 64, 63 and Highway 8.
A two-year project has begun in Trego to change the intersection of Highways 53 and 63. When completed the Highway 63 intersection will be south of County Highway E in Trego.
Highway 29
A $3.88 million dollar project is underway on Highway 29 in Spring Valley. Work is being done on 29 from Pierce County CC west of Spring Valley through to Highway 128 in St. Croix County.
Highway 29 between County CC and 128 will be detoured until approximately July for culvert pipe replacement and village utility work. Detour will by on County CC, County S and Highway 128.
