Motorcycle accident kills one in Pierce County

On June 5, 2016, at approximately 1:01 p.m., the Wisconsin State Patrol received a report of a one vehicle crash involving a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle on STH-35 near 480th Avenue in Pierce County.

Troy Patrick Schroeder, 46 year old driver from Blaine, MN was fatally injured after he lost control and struck a guardrail. The driver was wearing a helmet. Other agencies assisting at the scene included the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, Prescott Fire Department, and the River Falls Ambulance. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
