The Glenwood City golf team finished third in a pair of meets last week which included an 18-hole invitational and a Dunn-St. Croix competition.
The Hilltoppers spent Monday, April 22 competing in the 10-team Luck/Frederic Invitational which was held at the Luck Golf Course, site of this year’s Division 3 sectional meet which will be held at the end of this month. Glenwood City placed third in the invite as junior Esdyn Swenby copped a top-ten finish.
Three days later, on April 25, the locals made a return trip to The Valley Golf Course in Mondovi for the fifth Dunn-St. Croix meet of the season where they again finished third. The team was suppose to play another conference meet at Durand’s Rolling Greens Golf Course on Friday but it was postponed due to weather.
There are a pair of D-SC meets slated for this week – Tuesday, April 30 at Spring Valley and at Whitetail Golf Course near Colfax this Thursday – but, with several days of rainy weather forecasted, schedules may need to be adjusted.
The Hilltoppers are set to host the 18-hole conference tournament on Monday, May 13 at Glen Hills.
