Rockpile – 9-12-2018

Bowling leagues will crank up this week, and there won’t be a break until deer hunting.

What a great Rustic Lore weekend we had here in Glenwood City!! The weather was perfect and I think we had a record amount of people in town.

Dr. Rochelle Ashelson and family were in the parade Sunday. Rochelle is a cleaver dentist!! She was throwing out candy and toothbrushes!! That’s what I call job security!!!!

The Food That Will Make You Very Ill

A well-known doctor was giving a speech to a large crowd. The speech went: “The material we put into our stomachs should have killed most of us sitting here, years ago. Red meat is full of steroids and dye. Soft drinks corrode your stomach lining. Chinese food is loaded with MSG. High trans-fat diets can be disastrous and none of us realizes the long-term harm caused by the germs in our drinking water. But, there is one thing that is the most dangerous of all and most of us have, or will eat. Can anyone here tell me what food it is that causes the most grief and suffering for years after eating it?”

After several seconds of quiet, Tom, a 70-year-old man in the front row, raised his hand and said, “wedding cake”.

Pool Donation

Today a man knocked on my door and asked for a small donation towards a local swimming pool. I gave him a glass of water!!!
