ELK MOUND — The Elk Mound High School golf team will feature 14 players this spring.
The team did not win any of their meets last year, noted Coach Brandon Powell, who has been coaching golf for three years.
Jason Rubenzer, an all-conference player, graduated last spring.
Returning players this year who are expected to be an asset to the team are Dillon McLaughlin, Nathaniel Schreiber, Colton Ward and Maxwell Marquardt, Coach Powell said.

“Our strengths will be experience and off the tee,” he said.
“Our weaknesses will be around the green and consistency,” Coach Powell noted.
Top competitors this season will the Spring Valley, Mondovi and Glenwood City teams, which have a lot of experience, he said.
The 2018 Elk Mound High School golf team includes Nathaniel Schreiber (senior), Lexi Schindler (senior), Emily Bartig (senior), Maxwell Marquardt (junior), Amanda Sahm (junior), Colton Ward (junior), Dillon McLaughlin (junior), Kaitlin Schiferl (junior), Marcus Kinblom (junior), Teddy Pahl (junior), Ethan Rubenzer (sophomore), Susan Marquardt (freshman), Hunter Carlson (freshman), and Morgan Kinblom (freshman).
