GILMAN — Both Elk Mound archery teams met with success again at Gilman two weeks ago.
The Mounders traveled to the tournament February 3, and the middle school team came away with a second-place trophy after accruing 3,062 points, while the high school team also finished second after scoring 3,180.
The top three middle school archers were Vincent Biegel (270 points), Maddie Dutzle (265), and Luke Lesmeister (263). A trio of boys topped the high school team, with Mitchell Ruppelt in the lead at 288 points, Zane Clemmens with 283 points, and Zachary Miller with 272 points.
The team is now focusing its attention on the Wisconsin National Archery in the Schools Program state tournament in Wisconsin Dells.
