St. Croix County Fair: free admission, free entertainment and fun!

GLENWOOD CITY – The St. Croix County Fair is more than an annual event in July, it is an opportunity for friends and family to gather and reconnect while enjoying all that the fair has to offer. The history of the St. Croix County Fair goes back over 125 years and enjoys a rich history of community and agriculture. This year’s St. Croix County Fair is July 20 – 24, 2016, and will kick-off with the 4th annual tractor caravan leaving the fairgrounds at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 17.

The St. Croix County Fair will again have free admission and an abundance of free entertainment on the Croix Court Stage. Be sure to join us as 2015 Fairest of the Fair Shelby Weiske passes down her title and crowns the 2016 St. Croix County Fairest of the Fair on Thursday, July 21 at 7:00 p.m.

On Friday, July 22 there are a number of exciting events happening throughout the afternoon on the Croix Court stage culminating with our premier entertainment at 7:00 p.m., “Coyote Wild”. “Coyote Wild” performs an eclectic mix of both classic and current rock and country. With their blend of talent and creativity, this band has a professional sound without losing the energy that audiences would expect from a performing rock band. Built around strong vocals and great harmonies, their set list is a diverse mix of classic rock and contemporary country, meaning there’s something for everyone. The show is high-energy, fast-paced, but most of all, FUN and is sure to inspire dancing, singing along, and simply having a good time. This night only a temporary beer garden will also be set up at Croix Court.

If “Coyote Wild” doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, then be sure to check out the Championship Pulling Series Tractor Pull at the Tiffany Creek Events Area. The pulling fun starts at 6:30 p.m. and there is an admission fee for this event, but it is well worth the ticket to see the big boys play.

Saturday brings yet another fun filled day of free entertainment starting at noon with the ever funny “Looney Lutherans”. This Scandinavian Comedy Trio is sure to keep you laughing with performances that include a variety of segments on healthy living the Lutheran way, including: the Lutheran “food wheel” (all roads lead to hotdish); a Lutheran rap (“Eat Like a Lutheran”); and Lutheran beauty tips (you, too, can be a SEXY LUTHERAN!)

The “Divas Through the Decades” will also be performing three shows on Saturday. Divas Through the Decades presents a musical tribute to some of the most influential female vocalists of the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and today. With show-stopping choreography, electrifying vocals, and highly styled costumes, Divas Through the Decades presents the hit songs of Patsy Cline, Diana Ross and the Supremes, Tina Turner, Gloria Estefan, Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood, and more!  The show is a must-see for all generations!

Magic is ever present at the St. Croix County Fair and this year is no exception with Jared Sherlock performing at 4:00 p.m. and then hypnotizing us again at 10:00 p.m. with his “Mind Games”.

But, its not the St. Croix County Fair with out the “Memories”, who will be performing for their 29th year. The “Memories”, Warren Petryk and Tim Stevens, have been together for over 40 years bringing the tradition of their trademark – “MUSIC, LAUGHTER AND WONDERFUL TIMES!” They perform a wide variety of popular music, plus special comedy and novelty songs – which are enjoyed by audiences of all ages.

Sunday, will bring a close to this wonderful fun filled week with a salute to our Veterans at 10:30 a.m. and all Veterans will park free today.
