Lichtscheidl new summer intern at Dunn County Environmental Services Department, Solid Waste & Recycling

The Dunn County Environmental Services Department, Solid Waste and Recycling Division, is pleased to welcome Abby Lichtscheidl as their summer intern Recycling Assistant. Working with Recycling Specialist, Amanda Haffele, Abby will create and present educational programs throughout the county to help improve awareness of the available recycling opportunities. In addition to conducting educational presentations, Abby will provide events with recycling services and also conduct recycling assessments at eateries in Dunn County.

Abby is an incoming senior at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Originally from Wyoming, Minnesota, Abby chose UW-Stevens Point in order to major in Waste Management. She strongly believes in the concept:  Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle! Her hope is that, by subscribing to the 3 “R’s,” we can all work together to create a clean environment and help sustain our natural resources.

At the university, Abby plays trumpet in Pep Band for the hockey and basketball games. When not playing music, she enjoys outdoor activities such as Ultimate Frisbee, cycling, rollerblading and figure skating.
