Local students receive scholarships at CVTC

EAU CLAIRE, WI – Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) students received 279 scholarships totaling more than $156,000 recently when the CVTC Foundation hosted its annual Scholarship Awards Reception.

At the event, scholarship recipients were paired at tables with representatives from the families or organizations that generously donated the scholarship funds. Often donors create scholarship funds to memorialize a loved one, or support a cause, but it all comes down to making a difference in the lives of the recipients.

From Boyceville: Melissa Woolhouse, Geri Wendt Memorial Accounting Endowment Scholarship, Cheryl A. Janke Memorial Endowment Scholarship, Patrick B. Devine Memorial Endowment Scholarship, and CliftonLarsonAllen LLP Accounting Endowment Scholarship; April Lake, Bruno Gansluckner Memorial Endowment Scholarship and Zenas & Dorothy Beers Memorial Endowment Scholarship; Ashley McHenry, Local 2398 Marion Flood Memorial Endowment Scholarship and Carol L. Zimmerman Memorial Endowment Scholarship.

From Colfax: Jacob Butek, Wisconsin Motor Carriers’ Association Dave Keays Memorial Scholarship and Cummins Great Lakes Career Endowment Scholarship; Brett Johnson, Eau Claire Realty/David F. Suchla Endowment Scholarship; and Noelle Olson, The Liberal Arts Student Organization Scholarship.

From Elk Mound: Marisa Anton, Business Technology Scholarship and IAAP – Chippewa Valley Chapter Endowment Scholarship; and Neil Tanula, Global Finishing Solutions Civil Engineering Technician-Structural Scholarship.
