Elmwood man dies in Dunn Co. accident
MENOMONIE — A 32-year-old Elmwood man died as the result of a single vehicle rollover in Weston Township.
On Thursday, April 14, at 12:15 p.m. a crash occurred on County Highway P about a half mile south of 350th Avenue.
According to a news release from the Wisconsin State Patrol, a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Richard Baier of Elmwood was northbound on Highway P when he failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle crossed the southbound lane and entered the west ditch where the vehicle overturned. Mr. Baier was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is handling the crash investigation and wa assisted on scene by the Elmwood Police Department, Pierce County Sheriff’s Dept. Dunn County Sheriff’s Department and Elmwood Fire and EMS. The crash remains under investigation by the State Patrol.
