Hinwood completes third season running for Macalester

ST. PAUL – Colfax graduate Lachlan Hinwood had a pretty successful junior year as a member of the Macalester (MN) Scots cross country team this fall.

Hinwood led his team to the finish line in several meets this year including the St. Olaf Invite where he was 39th in an 8K time of 26:49 and the Griak Invite at the University of Minnesota where he was seventh in the Division III race at 27:35. He earned MIAC  honorable mention honors by finishing 18th at the conference race at Como Park in St. Paul, leading the Scots again in a time of 26:48, and concluded his season by leading the team at the NCAA Central Regional meet in Pella, Iowa with a 46th place finish, again in 26:48. The Scots placed 17th of 28 teams in the race.
