Elk Mound graduate and UW-Stout player Hunter Dicus recently finished up the summer season as a member of the Eau Claire Cavaliers baseball team.
The Cavs played a busy schedule with 51 games, ending with a record of 32-18-1 with an 8-7 season ending loss in the Wisconsin Baseball Association playoffs to the Chaseburg-Coon Valley Blues.
Playing in 40 games, Dicus finished in the top three of several categories offensively for the Cavs including leading the team in stolen bases with 22 and triples with three. He was second in at-bats with 159, total bases 68, hits 54 and runs scored 38. He was also third in doubles with eight, RBIs 27 and in drawing walks 22 times. Patrolling the outfield, he carried a .947 fielding percentage.
