The release stated that a Dodge Caravan, operated by Sundeen, had been traveling west on the Interstate and was struck by a semi, traveling the same direction, and pushed the Caravan into the ditch.
Sundeen sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to Regions Hospital where he died the following afternoon (August 7) from injuries he had suffered in the crash.
The semi-trailer was empty and the 46-year-old male driver, Corey P. Dicks of Colfax, was not injured.
