Local students among UW-EC graduates

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire celebrated the achievements of 1,330 graduates during commencement proceedings held on May 23 in Zorn Arena.

Local students who received degrees and their fields of study are:

From Boyceville: Holly Anderson, BA, Arts and Sciences, history; Duane Marlette, MBA, Business, business administration; and Sara Simonson, BSN, Nursing and Health Sciences, nursing.

From Colfax: Lydia Bethmann, BSW, Education and Human Sciences, social work; Riley Husby, BS, Education and Human Sciences, communication sciences and disorders; Lewis Mau, BBA, Business, business administration; and Jadra Peterson, BS, Education and Human Sciences, elementary education.

From Elk Mound: Amanda Babb, BFA, Arts and Sciences, art; Micah Mauer, BS, Education and Human Sciences, kinesiology; Kyle Seyer, BA, Arts and Sciences, mass communication; Samuel Suess, BA, Arts and Sciences, geography; and Manee Yang, BA, Arts and Sciences, mass communication.

A total of 1,238 students received bachelor’s degrees, including 556 from the College of Arts and Sciences, 314 from the College of Business, 269 from the College of Education and Human Sciences and 99 from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Master’s degrees were awarded to 92 students. The graduates included 11 from the College of Arts and Sciences, 38 from the College of Business, 22 from the College of Education and Human Sciences and 21 from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
