4th St. Croix County traffic fatality occurs

On Saturday March 14, 2015, at 5:44pm., the St. Croix County Sheriffs Office responded to a one vehicle crash on CTH E near CTH D, in the Town of Baldwin.

A 2002 Kia Spectra four door, being driven by Oscar Flores-Saldivar, age 35 of Amery, WI was eastbound on CTH E. According to a witness, the car was traveling at a high rate of speed. The car failed to stop at the stop sign at CTH D, went airborne, and entered a field on the north side of the road of CTH E. The car rolled numerous times and came to rest on its roof. Flores-Saldivar was ejected from the car.

Flores-Saldivar was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. Croix County Medical Examiner. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Assisting at the scene were United Fire & Rescue, Baldwin EMS, the Wisconsin State Patrol and Woodville Police.

This is the 4th fatality of 2015.

The crash remains under investigation by the St. Croix County Sheriffs Office and Medical Examiner’s Office.
