BALDWIN — A father and son were injured when the vehicle they were in left the roadway while traveling westbound along Interstate-94 and rolled over in the median near Baldwin.
The accident occurred at 12:35 p.m. on Saturday, August 9 along the westbound lanes of the interstate near mile marker 20 in St. Croix County.
Elliot Shin, 20, and his father, Keesam Shin, 54, both of Madison, received non-life threatening injuries when Elliot Shin apparently fell asleep while driving the family’s 2005 Volvo. Both men, who were seat belted, were transported to local hospitals for treatment and evaluation.
The Wisconsin State Patrol news release stated that Elliot Shin told the investigating trooper that he had fallen asleep. The car went off the roadway and rolled before it came to rest in the median. Elliot Shin was cited for inattentive driving.
