Semi struck with bullets near Baldwin

Just after midnight on Saturday, August 2, a semi truck was traveling on Interstate I-94 near Baldwin when the driver heard several “knocking” sounds.

The semi was traveling east and made it another ten or so miles when another driver signaled the man to pull over as he was losing fuel.

The second party called for help and deputies responded, which is when several bullet holes were discovered along the semi’s cab and trailer.

According to St. Croix County Sheriff, John Shilts, several slugs and shell casings from a 10 mm pistol were recovered by investigators.

The driver of the semi stated that he drove past an older red or maroon car when he heard the “knocking” sound.

Anyone who may have information regarding the incident is asked to call the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office at (715) 381-4701.
