Thurmes seeks write-in votes for St. Croix County Clerk of Circuit Court

Katie Thurmes, Somerset, has declared her write-in candidacy for the St. Croix County Clerk of Circuit Court on the Democratic ballot. The primary election is August 12.  She is seeking the position recently vacated by Lori Meyer.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to serve St. Croix County in this capacity. I am qualified, experienced and can hit the ground running,” said Thurmes.

Thurmes has over 19 years of experience in the St. Croix County legal community, with the last nine years in the St. Croix County District Attorney’s office. She has worked to improve efficiencies within the District Attorney’s office and will use that knowledge to help gain efficiencies within the Circuit Court system, focusing on electronic filing.

“I’ll provide a seamless transition, continuing the functions of the office.  I will also  emphasize a customer service model that continues to put the people of St. Croix County first,” Thurmes added.

Katie Thurmes is married with three children, and has lived in St. Croix County for over two decades. In her free time she enjoys fishing and trap shooting. She is a member of the St. Croix Valley Legal Professionals Association and a member of the Osceola Rod and Gun Club.
