Menomonie man arrested after pointing gun at landlord

MENOMONIE — A Menomonie area man was arrested and jailed for brandishing a gun and pointing it at the head of his female landlord.

Patrick Kirchoff, 28, was taken into custody and booked into the Dunn County jailed after he used a handgun to threaten another individual.

The incident occurred on the morning of Thursday, July 10 in rural Menomonie.

Dunn County’s 9-1-1 Emergency Center received a call at approximately 11:42 a.m. that a male subject was armed with a handgun and was threatening another person. The caller claimed that the individual had held the gun to their head.

Dunn County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on 410th Avenue in the Town of Menomonie and were able to make contact with the victim, who was not named in the department’s news release.

The woman told deputies that she was terrified.

The victim indicated that she was the landlord of the residence and had arrived to speak with the tenants regarding rent payments. That is when Kirchoff allegedly made threatening remarks and brandished a handgun.

Deputies were eventually able to make contact with Kirchoff, who was uncooperative, and was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct, domestic disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, possession of a facsimile firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of THC and resisting arrest.
