McMahon’ s track and field season shortened by injury

Colfax graduate Sarah McMahon, a junior at Division 1 Bradley University, completed the indoor track and field season for the Braves but had her outdoor season end early due to an injury.

 

 During the indoor season, Sarah competed in several 5K and 6K races and also ran a three mile race. She ran her best 5K time at the Missouri Valley Conference meet in 17:28.5 and set a school record in the 6K race at the NCAA Regional meet at 20:52.9. She started the outdoor season placing fifth in the 3000 m run at the Vanderbilt Black and Gold meet in Nashville, Tenn. at 9:51.39, finished 13th in the 1500 m run at 4:41.52 at the Redbird Invite in Normal, Ill. and was 16th in the 5000 m run in 16:53.40 at the Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, Calif. Sarah did not compete in the MVC Outdoor meet or regional meet due to an injury.
