UW-Madison names local students to spring Dean’s List

MADISON – The University of Wisconsin-Madison has recognized local students named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester of the 2013-2014 academic year.

James Heimler of Colfax, who is attending the School of Human Ecology, was named to the Dean’s Honor List.

Elizabeth Styczinski of Colfax, who is attending the School of Human Ecology, was named to the Dean’s Honor List.

Rachael Nellessen of Elk Mound, who is attending the School of Pharmacy, was named to the Honor Roll.

Kysa Franseen of Boyceville, who is attending the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, was named to the Dean’s List.

Emily Guy of Boyceville, who is attending the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, was named to the Dean’s List.

Matthew Wathke of Boyceville, who is attending the College of Engineering, was named to the Dean’s Honor List.

Graham Brandt of Glenwood City, who is attending the College of Engineering, was named to the Dean’s Honor List.

Students who achieve at a high level academically are recognized by the dean at the close of each semester. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, students must complete a minimum of 12 graded degree credits in that semester. Each university school or college sets its own GPA requirements for students to be eligible to receive the distinction. Most call the honor “dean’s list”, but some grant the “Dean’s Honor List” and “Dean’s High Honor List.”
