One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash occured on US Highway 63/State Highway 64 late Thursday afternoon, November 21 in the St. Croix County township of Cylon.
25-year-old Rolando Ontiveros-Contreras of Clear Lake, a passenger in a 2000 Honda Civic driven by Isrrael Romos, 33, also of Clear Lake, was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. Croix County Medical Examiner’s Office. He is the 12th person to die on St. Croix County roads this year.

Dittman, 46, of Menomonie.
Following the crash, the Honda came to rest in the south ditch while the Suburban stopped on the south shoulder of the road.
Weather conditions appear to have been a factor as it was snowing at the time of the crash and the roadway was reported to be slippery.

The Sheriff’s report stated that all occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
