Baldwin man in jail after sending Obama threats

BALDWIN – Last month, Nicholas J. Anderson, 33, of Baldwin, WI was indicted by a grand jury on two counts of threatening the president and one count of threatening others through interstate commerce.

Anderson has pleaded not guilty to threatening to kill President Barack Obama and his family. However, he is accused of making the threats in three emails sent to the CIA, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Western District of Wisconsin.

In the first email that was sent in May, Anderson threatened to kill the president and his family, stating “the assassination attempts are about to start flying,” according to the indictment.

Also according to the indictment, in two emails from June, Anderson threatened to kill the president and then a third email threatened to kill the president’s wife and children.

A two-day trial in the case is scheduled to begin later this fall on November 18.
