Ren in the Glen is back

GLENWOOD CITY – The last weekend in July will bring the GlenFests’ second annual “Ren in the Glen,” which is a family-fun event filled with people and activities from the days of the Renaissance.
Set in a quaint valley just northeast of Glenwood City on Dunn/St.Croix Street is where the Days of Old comes to life with music, dance, comedy, magic and fire.
People are invited to partake in the festivities and watch the entertainment of Barry the MacEwan who performs songs from Scotland and Ireland. The Fandazzi Fire Circus is back this year with their mesmerizing choreography and original performances. Also back, on Sunday only, is Pizpor the Magician.
Others on the list of entertainment include The Cabin Boys-a Pirate Comedy Act, Rambleway the Musician, Dans Askina Turkish Belly Dance Ensemble, The Baron of Bubble, Mustafa Ali and Bardmageddon.
The two day faire will be open from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free to children 12 years of age and under and five dollars for adults.
