Budget coming to Baldwin on April 18

MADISON — For the first time in history, the Budget is coming to Western Wisconsin and even more excitingly, to Baldwin.  My colleagues and I have fought hard to have the voices of our districts in western Wisconsin heard and now the entire State will have their eyes on us and our opinions on the Governor’s proposed budget.

The Joint Finance Committee began their tour of Wisconsin on April 4th in Greendale, WI.  From there they traveled to Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI on April 8th, the Kalahari Resort in the Wisconsin Dells on April 10th, and finally will be at Baldwin-Woodville High School in Baldwin, WI on April 18th.

The hearing will begin at 10am on the 18th of April and will continue until 5pm.  The Committee is expecting a very large turnout.  In order to hear everyone, each person will fill out a slip stating what issues they would like to speak on and then wait for their name to be called.  Once your name is called, you will have two minutes to speak in front of the committee and express your thoughts.

If you do not get a chance to speak or have more to say, written comments can be emailed to the Committee at BudgetComments@legis.wisconsin.gov, or sent via U.S. mail to: Joe Malkasian, Room 305 East, State Capitol, Madison, WI 53702.
