All are invited to participate in an ecumenical World Day of Prayer services. We will meet on Saturday, March 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Forest, 2980 210th Avenue, Emerald, WI.
The 2013 World Day of Prayer will begin at the first sunrise in the Pacific region, and following the Earth’s orbit, will spread all around the world. Each year a different country’s World Day of Prayer committee serves as the writers of the worship service. The service this year was done by the French WDP committee and the theme is based on Matthew 25, “I was a Stranger and You Welcomed Me In.”
World Day of Prayer is celebrated in more than 170 countries and regions and is a movement to bring together people of many traditions to observe a common day of prayer each year. World Day of Prayer was founded on the idea that prayer and action are inseparable in the service of God’s kingdom.
Lunch will be served following the service. Please join us.
