Statement from Jay Mundinger – Emerging Energies of Wisconsin
MADISON – We heard loud and clear from the commission regarding sound issues and the concerns of local residents. We appreciate the guidance provided by the commission members.
Highland Wind Farm did meet a number of hurdles for the CPCN application. Just a few concerns remain and we are working on a new path toward the CPCN application. We’re confident we can accomplish all the commission requires of our team.
Emerging Energies of Wisconsin LLC remains committed to developing wind energy in Wisconsin and we greatly appreciate all the supporters throughout Wisconsin.
The $250 million Highland project will generate 102.5 megawatts of electricity from its 41 turbines – enough to power 30,000 homes. Emerging Energies of Wisconsin LLC (www.emerging-energies.us) are the project developers.
